YOUTHinkGreen is a world wide educational youth initiative based in Germany. The aim of the project is to train school-age participants to become critically-minded climate ambassadors.

At the end of April 2012 the International Youth Climate Week took place in Wolfsburg, Germany, which was attended by eleven students from DHPS.

The other 200 participants were students from Germany, Iceland, Bulgaria, Italy, Egypt, India, China, Peru, Brazil and Turkey. Together with researchers and climate experts strategies and solutions were developed to achieve an environmental rethink in society, politics and the economy based on the main idea: ‘YOUTHinkGreen thinks global and acts local around the world’.

The aims of the climate week were intercultural exchange and networking between international students as well as the presentation and discussion of the international dimension of climate change from the point of view of the YOUTHinkGreen movement. The supporting programme was a mix of expert talks,  field trips as well as practical workshops in the sectors of project management, media work and public relations.
