The Embassy of the Republic of Namibia to the Federal Republic of Germany wishes to inform with utmost sadness and regret that the Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation Dr. Sam Nujoma, passed away on 08 February 2025.
A period of national mourning has thus been declared from today, 11 February 2025, until the date of the funeral, which will be announced in due course.
A Book of Condolences has been opened at the Chancery of the Republic of Namibia, located at Reichsstrasse 17, 14052 Berlin.
The book, is open to the public for signing and will remain open throughout the mourning period from today, 11 February 2025 from 14h00 to 16h00 and thereon during weekdays (Monday to Friday), from 10h00 to 12h00 and 14h00 to 16h00.
