I am pleased to be here today to share my views with you on one of the biggest challenges facing our nation, namely how we can achieve the goal of creating productive and decent employment for all our people who are able to work.
The achievement of this goal is the key to the elimination of poverty and inequality and to lay the foundation for the creation of a more prosperous nation that we aspire to be. I have also been invited to launch the new National Employment Policy, which will guide us in reaching our goal.
The challenges of poverty, inequality and unemployment have been the preoccupation of the Namibian Government since independence. Our Government has, therefore, put in place policy frameworks that underpin our national economic and social development efforts. Read more....
